Job Responsibilities:
AppDynamics is seeking a talented UX Designer to join our development team and product design think tank. Your challenge would be to deliver UX innovations that make complex problems (massively distributed application analysis and management) easy for our customers to tackle.
Make the impossible possible and the hard easy. Create wireframes, screen mockups, icons, UI guidelines, and other deliverables. We are not looking for someone who writes long winded reports but an agile design facilitator and customer advocate who produces enough designs and prototypes to keep the team moving and iterating rapidly.
Job Qualifications:
Passion for creating amazing user experiences.
Proven experience designing complex software applications.
Ability to understand complex technical concepts the systems management and application management space.
Ability to create clean, cutting-edge designs that are both simple and powerful.
Ability to work in a fast paste agile environment with varying amounts of structure.
Master of: Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Flash, Dreamweaver, etc.
Highly passionate about design. Is aware of the most recent design and usability improvements. Has an opinion on what good design is, and is also willing to work within, and evolve, established design styles.
In depth knowledge of User Interface Design principles, Human Factors, User-Centered Design Processes, Interaction Design guidelines, Usability Testing Methodologies, web-industry standards and trends.
BA/BS or advanced degree in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field or demonstrated comparable experience designing highly usable interfaces.
Bonus:
Ability to code HTML, CSS and JavaScript by hand.
Previous startup experience.
Experience with enterprise software or application management.
