Position Description

Provide Microsoft SharePoint administrative support for a large customer within the DoD community.

Work with a dispersed team of systems administrators, engineers, managers, and customers. Administrator will perform duties on a normal business day schedule with some flexibility for start time. Administrator may be assigned to a location remote from the server facility.

Position Qualifications

Qualified candidate will have 2-3 years as a MS SharePoint Farm Administrator.

Prior experience must demonstrate proven analytical skills with information systems.

Candidate must be able to articulate problems and resolution, in both verbal and written forms.

Proven experience must indicate a record of information security awareness and discipline in systems administration.

Desired Skills

•         SharePoint 2013 experience, including search configuration and My Sites

•         SharePoint Migrations/Upgrades

•         Experience with PowerShell for common farm tasks

•         MS Project configuration and administration

•         2-3 years’ experience in configuration and administration of SQL database and IIS

•         Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services

•         Experience with ADFS or Kerberos is a plus

•         DoD Experience

Education

B.S. in a technical related major or 6 years equivalent experience required.

Desired relevant certifications in one or more of the following: MCP; MCSA; MCSE; MCTS

The Data Center and Hardware Operations team provides 24 x 7 x 365 support to the Global Data Centers.  As a vital client touch point, the team is responsible for the efficient and timely resolution of any incoming technical issue.  The team will strive for professionalism, concise and swift customer/enquiry/issue resolution and provide pro- active communication where relevant.

Responsibilities  For Data Center Technician VA Ex Military Jobs:

• Perform standard server installations of equipment ranging from full racks to individual servers.
• Basic configuration of server and networking hardware in accordance with provided documentation.
• Installing support hardware for all devices to be installed into cabinets on raised floor.
• Labeling all devices and cables per client standards.
• Understanding and ensure data center redundancy requirements.
• Installing new patch cabling and cable management.
• Decommissioning of redundant equipment and cabling.
• Management and tracking of assets.
• Manage third party vendors within a large data center to ensure compliance with change control, specifications and quality standards.
• Providing on-site and remote troubleshooting and diagnosis of various computer and networking systems.
• Performing upgrades, configuration maintenance, and repairs of system hardware. .
• Manage own workload and remain accountable, promoting a positive team approach under pressure.
• Flexible and willing to adjust to new patterns, shift work and responsibilities.
• You will regularly liaise with remote hands personnel land third parties located in our globally distributed data centers to arrange maintenance, repairs and replacement of hardware.
• Receive and filter inbound technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Strive for timely resolution, and escalate within acceptable SLAs where unable to resolve.
• Create, maintain and improve operational work instructions


Requirements Data Center Technician VA Ex Military Jobs:

• 5+ years experience maintaining, utilizing, and troubleshooting hardware in large data center environments.
• 5+ years experience utilizing a ticketing system such as Remedy, ProJira, ServiceNow
• 5+ years experience in data center operations team in enterprise environment.
• One of more relevant Industry certifications BICSI, CCNA, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network +, CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Storage+, MCP
• Understanding of BMS and experience in using DCIM tools for operations management
• Experience with power and network cabling in data centers
• Basic network trouble shooting skills
• Basic network configuration skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability and desire to cross train outside own area of technical expertise
• Experience of prioritising workload in high pressure and time constrained environments.
• Knowledge of ITIL or ITIL foundations certified
• Ability to lift/move 50 lbs on a daily basis
• Must be able to pass and Enhanced Background

Colleagues and Fellow Veterans:

Are you a Veteran with a severe service-connected disability that affects your mobility?  Do you know someone who is?  The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) administers the Specially Adapted Housing program, designed to help severely disabled Veterans and Service members purchase or construct an adapted home, or modify an existing home to accommodate a disability.  Two grant programs exist: the Specially Adapted Housing (SAH) grant and the Special Housing Adaptation (SHA) grant.

We want to ensure anyone who might qualify knows about this program.

The SAH grant is designed to help disabled Veterans and Service members by providing a barrier-free living environment, such as a wheelchair accessible home, that affords Veterans a level of independent living they may not otherwise enjoy. Veterans and Service members with specific service-connected disabilities (including loss/loss of use of both lower extremities) may be entitled to a grant for the purpose of constructing or modifying a home to meet their adaptive needs, up to the current maximum of $70,465.

The SHA grant can be used to increase the mobility of eligible Veteran and Service members throughout their residences. Veterans and Service members with specific service-connected disabilities (including severe visual impairment or loss/loss of use of both hands) may be entitled to this type of grant, up to the current maximum of $14,093.

For those who do not yet own a home, a temporary grant may be available to SAH/SHA eligible Veterans and Service members who are or will be temporarily residing in a home owned by a family member. The maximum amount available to adapt a family member’s home for the SAH grant is $30,934 and for the SHA grant is $5,523.

In that capacity, the Administrative Records Coordinator will develop a reporting schedule for newly awarded grants, remind recipients of when reports are due, receive reports, distribute reports to the proper program officer, and collect and analyze data on the status of reports foundation-wide.
The Coordinator will also interact with grantees, from a variety of professions (e.g., policy analysts, practitioners, academics).
The Coordinator will also ensure that financial reports are received from institutions that are hosting the grants.
The Coordinator is an important part of the program team who will also help the team assess the impact and influence of grants.
The duties and responsibilities for this administrative position will require that the individual work closely with the program officers of the international and domestic programs.
They will work with the program officers to: – Interact with grantees to make sure that reports are received on time. – Prepare weekly reports of the grant reporting requirement activities. These weekly reports include grant activity, delinquent days, reporting graphs, and other information related to the activities and products associated with each grant. – Manage all hard copy grant file material in an onsite central filing system and offsite archive storage. – Manage hard copies of all grantee reports from receipt through filing. – Manage the grant reporting requirements section of the Foundation’s database (Gifts). – Provide other administrative support as required.
