Spotlight Speaker for 27 March 2019 will feature a presentation by: Mike Bruni, Talent Acquisition Officer at Talent Acquisition Strategies, LLC, Reston, Virginia. Mike will speak to our BANG regarding Project SAVE and regional recruiting trends.

Mike Bruni is a Talent Acquisition Professional with over 20 years of experience. He is heavily experienced within the National Security Sector with an emphasis in Strategy, Sourcing, Capture, and Branding.

Mike is also the President of Project SAVE (Staffing Alliance of Virginia Employers) which is an organization catering to recruiters and networking
info@project-s-a-v-e.com . Project SAVE was founded by Gary Cluff in 1990. It has assisted Recruiters, HR Professionals, and job seekers for over 25 years. Project SAVE provides a free networking environment for individuals engaged in the Washington job market. Look for Harris Teeter and Starbucks in the shopping center on the corner at the traffic light. Upon entering the Barcroft Plaza Shopping Center stay on service road to east end of parking area. The Clark House is located at the entrance to a townhouse complex. Spotlight Speaker for 31 May 17 will be: Robert Brandau, Founding Director of Career –Confidence.Org. Robert will talk about life in the Federal contracting world, the commercial world, and the entrepreneurial world. For people who enjoyed working in the military, the transition to an entirely new work environment can often be meet with frustration. Some informal surveys have indicated that over 90% of military retirees do not enjoy their post-military jobs.
Robert will talk about how to thrive and how to enjoy this career transition. He will look at career possibilities that are not often considered. There will be several case studies referred to. This exciting presentation will increase our understanding of the breadth of the entire new world open to the former military.
Robert Brandau got his start as a professional recruiter in 1998. He has been coaching job seekers of all types in how to market their services most effectively since 2003.  For some, he has helped them find new careers they enjoy. For others he has helped them negotiate, $2000 to $40,000 more per year for the jobs that they landed. His organization is Career-Confidence.org. The website is www.career-confidence.org.

Spotlight Speaker for 22 February 2017 will feature a presentation by: Mike Bruni, Director of Talent Acquisition at SC3. SC3 is a leading provider of high-end mission support, consulting and technology solutions to the federal government in defense, intelligence, and civil markets, and to major corporations and nonprofit organizations. Mike possesses over 18 years of experience in the Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, and Sourcing functional areas supporting the National Security Industry. Mike joined SAIC (Now Leidos) in January of 2005 after spending 7 years in the staffing industry. Since entering the field in 1997 he has taken on roles leading many initiatives to include Talent Acquisition Management, Sourcing, Capture Staffing, Direct Recruiting, and Veteran Outreach. 
Mike has built and led staffing program with much success.  In 2012, he led the staffing effort for a major program in excess of $1 billion.  The effort resulted in the award of the program and the successful transition and staffing of this massive program.   Mike is heavily experienced in developing Talent Acquisition strategies tailored to each customer and skill set. 
As a Sourcing Manager, Mike designs and builds talent pipelines supporting diverse programs throughout the community. Provides staffing strategies in support of new business pursuits and proposals. Leads candidate outreach efforts to provide organizational and personal branding for SC3.
In December of 2009, Mike was instrumental in standing up a centralized Military Recruiting Program, Operation MVP. This program was designed to be a central point to recruit top talent from all Branches of the Military.  This program continues to train and recruit Service Members to this day.
Mike has been quoted in HR Magazine, The Military Times, and USAToday. He’s been a guest on Federal News Radio’s “FedAccess” Show. He has also been a guest on the radio program “The Workforce Show”. He’s been featured on the Pentagon Channel’s “Hiring America” television show. Mike sits on the AFCEA EPIC Committee as well as the INSA ICC Committee. Both committees are industry professional associations. He is a board member of recruitDC. He also the facilitator and leader for Project S.A.V.E. (Staffing Alliance of Virginia Employers) which is a networking organization for HR and recruiting professionals.
