UXO Technician Courses for Veterans at TEEX, College Station, Texas

The first UXO Technician Level - I course was designed and developed by TEEX in 1999 and remains today the only civilian UXO Technician course originally granted certification by the U.S. Department of Defense prior to ceasing this requirement.

This four-week course provides participants with comprehensive, hands-on training in the safe detection, location, identification and disposal of unexploded ordnance using the techniques, tools and emerging technologies of today's UXO environmental remediation industry. Graduates of the course meet all U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) requirements necessary to work on USACE UXO remediation job sites. Students registered for the UXO Technician Level - I Course are also eligible to access the 40 hour HAZWOPER Clean-Up Operations on-line course through the TEEX Learning Management System.
