BCDS is actively recruiting former USMC NCO’s (E6 and above) with combat arms skills background.
Position responsibilities include: Provide training in accordance with the CDD/POI, on tactical infantry operations in a counter-insurgency environment. Instruct Military Advisor Team and other Advisors on proper movement techniques, mounted and dismounted weapons employment, urban warfare TTP; and force protection. Training requires that SMEs be authorized to handle and fire the weapons for safety and demonstration purposes. Conduct Tactics, Force Protection (FP) and Anti-terrorism (AT) training to include MOT-P, Urban Warfare, and tactics in support of Advisor Training. Prepare and operate the ranges and classrooms, including all logistics for the training team in the ranges and in classrooms. Assist in training of Vehicle Mounted Operations, IED identification and countermeasures, Intelligence and IPB. Conduct training, practical exercises, and assist in evaluations of Advisor student performance. Perform as observer/controller of training evolutions to include ensuring role players are appropriately utilized and coordinated. Assist in the development and update of lesson plans in accordance with the USMC Systems Approach to Training (SAT) User’s Guide. Provide technical input in development and updates of curriculum, Program of Instruction (POI) and training materials for the courses of instruction. Assist in exercise scenario development. Develop new training materials and revise existing classes as required that provide focus on advisor ability to mentor and teach foreign national security personnel in proper TTP required in performance of mission related tasks. This position may require travel to alternate training venues. Performance of duties shall be in a combination of classroom and field conditions. Serve as Range Safety Officer (RSO) and/or Range Officer in Charge (OIC) when authorized and approved by the installation commander.
Civilian Education: REQUIRED: High School diploma DESIRED: College degree is preferred.
Military Education. REQUIRED: Certification as Marine Corps Range Safety Officers (RSO).DESIRED: Professional Military Education in accordance with service requirements for candidate’s rank. Train the Trainer School (T3S) within last four years from date of hire a plus.
Military/Government Experience: REQUIRED: Military experience E-6 or above with combat arms skills background. DESIRED: Former Military Advisor; Former Military Instructor; operational experience within the last four years as of date of hire; currency with TTP and Lessons Learned from recent real world operations within the last four years as of date of hire is preferred.
Clearance: REQUIRED: Secret Clearance.
