KEY REQUIREMENTS:
You must possess U.S. Citizenship or be a U.S National.
You must complete a favorable Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).

DUTIES:
This position is located in the Information Assurance and Cyber Security Division (IACSD), Office of Information Technology (OIT), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). If selected for this position, you will serve as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist in the Information Assurance Division, Infrastructure and Testing Branch reporting directly to the Infrastructure and Testing Branch Chief. You will analyze, develop and update network diagrams, architectures, and security processes. In addition, you will develop technical documentation and requirements and make technical presentations to a wide range of audiences. Typical assignments include:
Interfacing with TSA, DHS, and other Components on Secure Infrastructure and Testing initiatives.
Reviewing infrastructure changes and represent Information Assurance Division (IAD) on the Change Control Board.
Supporting new technology initiatives by attending the TSA Meetings for Secure Infrastructure and Testing.
Managing ad hoc projects as assigned by the Branch Chief, Team Leads, and Senior IAD officials.
Extracting and maintaining Security Requirements from Policy, Standards and other Best Practices as required. Providing recommendations for updates of TSA IT Security Policies and Technical Standards.
Analyzing security requirements, providing recommendations to enhance security posture, and providing lAS recommendations for internal application development efforts.
Integrating security requirements throughout the Systems Engineering Life Cycle.
Reviewing and providing recommendations for Commercial Off The Shelf/Government Off The Shelf TSA application approvals.
Preparing reports, or reviewing and editing reports written by contractors, for presentation to senior executives within TSA and/or DHS.
Assisting the contractor in interpreting technical requirements; recommending changes in contract terms to the contracting officer; monitoring and evaluating contractor performance; reviewing contractor invoices; recommending corrective actions; and inspecting and accepting contract deliverables.
Preparing oral and written reports, and presenting such reports in a clear, concise and effective manner.
