Our Client is an international logistics and facilities management provider who specializes in providing food logistics, catering, aviation, retail, fuel supply, transport and warehousing and camp services in post conflict and remote areas.
The Aviation Division of this expanding Group provides vital services in supply air logistics to remote sites in post conflict locations and remote areas.
They are currently seeking a Director of Commercial Development to be based in Dubai. The position is permanent on an open ended contract.

Supported by a world-wide network of resources including state – of – the – art warehousing facilities, bulk fuel installations and real time freight tracking capabilities, our client provides workable resolutions to complex client requirements in the areas of food logistics, catering, retail, aviation, transport and warehousing, camp services and fuel management.
Our Client is the Aviation Division of this rapidly expanding group and provides vital services in supply air logistics to remote sites in post conflict locations and remote areas.
They ensure essential items such as fresh food and other time critical cargo is delivered with minimal disruption, under the most challenging conditions.

They are currently seeking a Director of Commercial Development to be based in Dubai, UAE. The position is permanent on an open ended contract.

Reporting to the Managing Director - Aviation, the successful candidate will direct the commercial development of the Aviation Business Unit.
You will provide advice to the Aviation Director on all commercial strategies. You will direct the development and execution of strategic planning initiatives (roadmap) in order to achieve the Aviation Director’s vision, guidance and desired end states.
You will oversee the development of the key enablers of the Directors desired end states and direct the activities of the corresponding managers responsible for attaining them.
You will advise and assist the Aviation Director in managing change and oversee, capture and integration of market intelligence into strategic planning.
You will establish competitive advantage situational awareness into business development management.
You will oversee and shape the relationship with key international aviation business partners.
You will direct and evaluate SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) and PEST (Political, Economic, Social, Technological) Analyses.
You will define / Develop elements of enabler-producing Disciplines of Excellence.
You will oversee the management of credential-producing major projects which enable commercial capacity and viability (IATA FF).
You will champion and oversee project deliverables management.
You will establish and direct strategic commercial objectives and metrics to ensure success with focus on business cases and developing KPE reports.
You will oversee market and segment analysis. Direct capture planning and management.
You will advise the Director in identifying strategic teaming value / possibilities.
You will direct and aggressively pursue proposal opportunities.
You will oversee project planning of the bid preparation process.
You will establish and oversee proposal evaluation team activities during bid preparation.
You will develop Third Party Freight and ground handling operations, route profitability matrix and develop lease Vs purchase aircraft models.
Finally, you will complete holistic profitability analysis of both the inbound and outbound operations and perform other duties as requested by Managing Director Aviation.

Knowledge and Skills:
You should ideally have extensive experience of International Aviation and Leadership experience along with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
You should have proven airline experience (cargo) and International business / cultural acumen.
You should have the ability to interface with senior US military and NATO Officers and provide unique solutions to problems.
The will be regular International Travel to destinations including Afghanistan, Africa etc.
You should possess excellent communication skills in English and ideally one other language and be able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.
Superb communication skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.
You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment.
Finally you should possess a Drivers License and be PC / IT literate.
