International Development Solutions - FAV/LAV Armor Vehicle Tech (AVT) - Afghanistan
All candidates should be willing and able to work in a high-threat environment and pass pre-deployment medical screening to include a Physical Training test.
Duty Location: Afghanistan
FAV/LAV Armor/Vehicle Technician (AVT) (S) (OCONUS) This position / labor category is staffed in accordance with the requirements described below.
Maintain (preventive and corrective maintenance) of assigned fully armored vehicles (FAV) and light armored vehicles (LAV).
The AVT is designated as support (S)
The AVT is required to attend the non-PSS WPS training course, as outlined in this contract.
The AVT is required to maintain weapons qualification, as outlined in this contract and TOs.
Establish and implement maintenance plans.
The AVT shall carry out repairs of FAV/LAV vehicles and report status as required. Must meet all of the below qualifications:
U.S. Citizen/TCN/LN, as specified in the Task Order.
Level 3 English proficiency (see Exhibit A).
One (1) year of overseas experience performing as FAV/LAV.
ASE / factory-certified) for the equipment/system or vehicle assigned. Minimum of two certifications listed below
Engine Repair
Automatic Trans/Transaxle
Manual Drive Train and Axles d.Suspension and Steering
Brakes f.Electrical/Electrical Systems g.Heating and Air Conditioning
Engine Performancee.
Approved by DS when required, e.g., vehicle armor, ballistic glass
Documentation of certification must accompany the resumes. The resumes shall be completed using the High Threat Protection (HTP) Operations Center resume format form displayed in Exhibit I
These certificates shall be current and maintained by the contractor at all times and shall be made available to the Government upon request.
