DUTIES:
As a Transportation Security Inspector - Surface (TSI-Surface) for TSA, you will:
Work to ensure the secure and free flow of surface transportation assets across the Nation.
Assist in the administration of critical and complex compliance and enforcement programs designed to ensure secure surface transportation and to protect the nation's public from terrorism, or other incidents.
Will be cross-trained to perform support functions in Aviation and/or Cargo Inspection.
Respond to transportation security incidents and other incidents as defined by the National Incident Management Systems or as directed by the Federal Security Director (FSD).
Perform tests and audits, while validating and inspecting security processes, procedures, systems, and equipment in connection with compliance inspections and vulnerability assessments.
Assist in the development of security mitigation measures for transportation systems.
Establish goals and track progress of required inspection/assessment activities within assigned area of responsibility.
Provide technical input to the AFSD, FSD or HQs staff as applicable.
