Pharmacy Technician for Southwest of Spokane, Washington

Progressive, employee-friendly Onsite OHS is seeking a qualified Pharmacy Technician to provide medical services.

Perform a full range of professional Pharmacy concepts and practices, on site; using furnished facilities, equipment and supplies to a variety of patients. All aspects of Pharmacy service shall be commensurate with the capabilities and training of the technician and the Pharmacy Department including but not limited to the items listed below.

Job Duties:
Perform pharmaceutical dispensing duties and entering the information into databases
Perform consultation duties with patients on filled prescriptions
Monitor and report any drug reactions
Perform quality control/improvement duties to include performing drug storage inspections, checking for expired supplies, and producing workload reports
Perform supply duties that includes coordinating supply and demand, placing orders, stocking shelves, performing inventory maintenance, and producing our of stock reports
Follows standardized formula cards and procedures in weighing, measuring, and mixing bulk quantities of solutions, ointments, and powders for routinely used pharmaceuticals
Operates equipment such as; precision balances, colloid mills, filtering machines, tube filling and crimping machines, and gravity apparatus
Meets with Pharmaceutical representatives to discuss general clinic requests and concerns and availability of products when required
Answers routine inquiries from hospital staff on the availability of pharmacy supplies
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
Education: Graduate from a Pharmacy Technician program accredited by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP), received certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), or successfully completed formal Pharmacy Technician training from a technical, hospital, or retail based program
Active, Valid, unrestricted license/certification as a Pharmacy Technician in a US jurisdiction
Twelve (12) months full-time experience within the last 36 months
Current BLS certification
Physically capable of performing all Pharmacy Technician services with reasonable accommodation
