DUTIES:
This Budget Analyst position is located in the Resources and Program Management Section, National Canine Program Branch, Compliance Division, within the Office of Security Operations (OSO), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), a Department of Homeland Security (DHS).  Duties include:
•Preparing, submitting, and coordinating all budget formulation and execution for the National Canine Program.
•Reviewing reports and accounting records to ensure allocated funds are spent as specified.
•Preparing and managing program documents and responding to financial inquiries from TSA senior executives, Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and DHS.
•Reviewing and interpreting financial and budgetary policy guidance and providing assistance to managers and employees in interpreting and applying guidance to assigned program areas.
•Monitoring budgetary resource usage through the review of budget, relevant financial data, accounting records, and information provided by managers.
•Conducting analyses of pertinent budget information provided by program staff and managers to contribute to budget development.
•Apprising management of program status by developing reports through the use of automated systems, spreadsheet applications, and computer generated products.
•Planning and organizing contractual activities as a Contracting Officer Representative (COTR).
