Job Description for Warehouse Specialist Inventory Team:
This individual will be part of a team responsible for conducting inventories of equipment and materiel. Inventory accuracy and the ability to work collaboratively within a team is critical.
Responsible for:
1. Reading inventory count documents, navigating locations, accurately identifying equipment/materiel to be counted, and accurately recording the inventory count on count cards with an accuracy rate greater than 98%.
2. Work collaboratively with two other counters in a three person team.
3. Ability to work a flexible schedule 40 hours per week.
4. Ensures compliance with established DoD inventory control procedures. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Reports to a supervisor/manager.
Basic Qualifications for Warehouse Specialist Inventory Team
1. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the warehousing/ supply management field or in a related area.
2. Knowledge of DoD Supply Chain processes and procedures. Able to learn DoD logistics terminology. Experience and knowledge of inventory management, storage and distribution, and associated automated systems is a plus.
