DESCRIPTION:
Planned Systems International, a Government contractor with over 25+ years of experience, is pursuing a major opportunity and seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Maui, HI.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will define, coordinate, and develop requirements and concepts of operation documentations. ).  The overall project is for the team to evaluate the more than 30 Military Health Systems LMS’s and take the best parts to create a recommended prototype going forward.  Knowing some of these systems would be great as is understanding LMS’s.  The engineer should also be well rounded with technologies and able to deploy web-based enterprise systems.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
•Applying engineering principles for Learning Management System prototype development including: investigating, analyzing, planning, designing, developing, implementing, and testing.
•Reviewing and preparing engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
•Applying engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.
•Analyzing legacy LMS applications.
•Performing design and architectural activities.
•Assisting in analysis, deployment, and testing.
•Providing recommendations for design specifications and implementation plans.
•Providing project planning/management.
•Participating in project or program team activities.
•Identifying hardware and tools required for development process.
•Researching and recommending existing and new technologies.
•Preparing reports and presentations.
•Developing appropriate metrics to demonstrate performance at improving operational efficiency.

Minimum Requirements:
•BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline and 5+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
•Detailed knowledge of technologies and systems support (i.e. configuration, tool development, troubleshooting etc.) required by Learning Management Systems (LMS).
•Experience with server hardware management.
•Experience deploying web-based enterprise applications.
•Excellent written and oral communication.
•Experience working in a team environment.
•Good interpersonal skills and the ability work with a minimum of supervision.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
•U.S. Citizenship and the ability to quickly obtain an ADP II government background investigation

Additional Desired Qualifications:
•LMS experience strongly preferred.
