RN Occupational Health Nurse

Progressive, employee-friendly OHS is seeking full time, qualified RN (RN Occupational Health Nurse ) to perform Occupational Health and safety, as well as provide medical services to designated beneficiaries in a clinical setting in  Goodfield, IL.
The RN will perform a full range of RN services on site, using furnished facilities, equipment and supplies to a variety of patients. All aspects of RN services shall be commensurate with the capabilities of the provider and the Medical Department including but not limited to the items listed below.

Job Duties For The RN Occupational Health Nurse:
•Observe the workplace and assess any potential hazards or health effects that may result from the current work environment.
•Provide routine work environment appraisals to management on an ongoing basis
•Provide Workers Compensation Case Management service
•Assist in the review of medical certification requests for FMLA and ADA requests for accommodations
•Provide substance abuse testing as required
•Ensure compliance with all applicable medical and government regulations for CLIA and OSHA blood borne pathogens
•Provide acute care for ill employees
•Provide health teaching on an individualized basis
•Provide health screening programs
•Provide coordination of support services such as EAP, when indicated
•Provide clearance examinations for employees returning to work after a medical absence
•Provide medical surveillance exams as indicated
•Provide laboratory services per physician order or for screening programs
•Provide inoculations and prescriptions for foreign travel and workplace exposures
•Ordering and purchasing of inventory, medical and pharmaceutical supplies
•Support Wellness Programs
•Coordinate Emergency Response Planning
•Other duties as assigned

Requirements For The RN Occupational Health Nurse:
•Diploma from an Accredited Registered Nurse Program
•A current unrestricted license in the state of Minnesota
•Current BLS by the AHA, ARC, ASHI or ACEP Certification
•Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
•Workers Comp Insurance experience strongly preferred
•Venipuncture skills
•Physically capable of performing all RN services with reasonable accommodation
