SAVE THE DATE: Front Range Military Career Fair, 24 July 2015! (Colorado Springs, CO)

Transition Assistance Program Partners,

The Air Force Academy, Schriever, and Peterson Transition Assistance Program Managers are excited to announce the 2015 Front Range Military Career Fair, a collaborative effort among the three Colorado Springs area Air Force installations.   This career fair offers a talent pool of transitioning military, veterans and their spouses. Today’s global business market place needs the talent, skills, training, and integrity of this valuable population.

If you are not the point of contact for hiring events, please forward this email on to the appropriate person and ask them to contact Jeannie Lopez (information below) with the correct company contact information.

There are a few items to take note of:

*         The hiring event will be held on Friday, 24 July 2015, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Air Force Academy Falcon Club.  Directions will be sent at a later date to those companies who have RSVP’d their attendance.  For prior event planning purposes, please use the voting buttons above left by Monday, 2 March to indicate your intent at this time.  We understand that your status may change once the registration window opens.

*         Event agenda for the day: 8:30-10:00 am – Employer Check-in and Set-up Time / 10:00 am – Career Fair Begins / 3:00 pm – Career Fair Concludes

*         This hiring event is 100% FREE, the only request is employers have jobs available and ready to hire in order to register.  We highly suggest a hiring authority to be present for the duration of the event to conduct initial interviews and make job offers on-site.

*         Employer/Company registration will be via e-mail only.  The registration window will be 1 April – 15 June.  You will receive a reminder registration email on 1 April.  To register, you will be required to send your  company name, e-mail address, company URL to your website hiring page, POC and phone number to jeannie.lopez@us.af.mil.  Ms. Lopez will be the contact person for employer registrations and she will then get in touch to discuss specific details.  The goal is for 100 local and nationwide companies to share their opportunities at this event.

*         A note for prior planning purposes; if your company representative(s) do(es) not have a Department of Defense (DoD) ID card, they will have to be vetted and placed on an installation Entry Access Listing for the day of the event.  The information needed for each representative (even if they are in the same vehicle) by 15 June is:  Name exactly as it appears on driver’s license / Date of birth (month/day/year) / Driver’s license number and state of issue.  If a representative does not have a DoD ID card and  is not on the Entry Access Listing, they will be turned away the day of the event.

*         This hiring event is an excellent occasion to outreach to veterans and their spouses and highlight your company and employment opportunities.

We sincerely hope you are as excited as we are for this event!

Should you have any questions, please feel to give me a call (phone number below).

Thank you very much for your support,
