ONSITE OHS – EMT-Paramedic, GA
EMT-Paramedic
Location: Valdosta, Georgia
Progressive, employee-friendly Onsite OHS is seeking full and part time, qualified EMT-P to provide non-personal medical services to designated beneficiaries.
Perform a full range of professional EMT-P concepts and practices on site, using furnished facilities, equipment and supplies to a variety of patients. All aspects of EMT-P shall be commensurate with the capabilities of the provider and the Medical Department including but not limited to the items listed below.
Job Duties:
Create, maintain, and dispose of medical documentation as required
Perform a full range of ambulance services on site and in the field when performing ambulance emergency or in-flight response, transfer, or transport services
Practice within the set guidelines
Provide emergency hospital and pre-hospital care for all types of patients
Maintain the ambulance according to local policy ensuring preparedness and availability for immediate response
Respond to ALS emergency calls within established time frame
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate emergency care for patients of all ages to include the evaluation and treatment of emergent, urgent, and non-emergent patients ranging from infants to the elderly
Recognize medical emergencies and respond appropriately to include the initiation of CPR or ACLS when necessary
Document complete patient exam on approved forms, verbal/written reports to receiving personnel
Perform document audits
Clean, sanitize, and restock ambulance according to established policy
Direct patient care
Responsible for and assist with orientation and training of newly assigned personnel
Participate in base exercises, in-services, and continuing education programs along with maintaining training record
Establish and maintain good interpersonal relations with all patients, family members, and team members
Requirements:
Education: Graduation from an accredited EMT-P certification program
Current, valid paramedic license and certification from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians; or State of Georgia Office of Emergency Medical Services
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Hazard Materials Awareness
One (1) year full-time experience with the last three (3) years as a paramedic.
Experience in personnel management is highly desirable
Read, write, and speak fluent English
No reckless or dangerous driving citations within the previous twenty-four (24) month period; no Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) or Driving Under the Influence (DUI) convictions in the previous five (5) years; Maximum of six (6) points per year assessed under the state of Georgia driving infraction system
Valid Georgia driver’s license
OHS is in an active bidding process for this position and position availability is contingent upon OHS being awarded the contract.
