Non-Profit Business Network Reaches Out to Bay Area Disabled Vets

WHAT: The Vallejo Chapter of the DVBE Alliance (www.cadvbe.org ) will meet to discuss contract work opportunities for disabled veterans and DVBE companies. The Vallejo Chapter is one of nine statewide non-profit local chapters serving entrepreneurial CA veterans interested in owning businesses.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Anyone who served their country and left service in the U.S. Armed Forces with a permanent disability, as determined by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs or anyone who would like to learn more about the Alliance and how you may be able to help. WHY: The all disabled veterans non-profit DVBE Alliance helps veterans become entrepreneurial in creating new companies, obtaining contracts and mentoring through free business education and training.

WHEN: Wednesday, August 10, 2011 beginning at 2 p.m. (The Vallejo Chapter meets the second Wednesday every month.)

WHERE:  200 Maritime Dr. at the California Maritime Academy in the Ward Room. (Directions:  Once on the campus drive to the back of the Academy and park in Lot D.  There is a $4 charge and you purchase a ticket from a parking lot terminal at the front corner of the lot.)
