Currently seeking a Program Manager for Cabin Systems for an Aerospace industry company in Burbank, CA.

Manage teams of 3 to 20 for various programs
Must have business development experience
Profit/Loss, financial, EVMS experience
Experience with cabin systems/landing systems/actuators

The successful candidate will manage a variety of small to medium sized programs in the areas of technical, contract, schedule, and cost compliance.  As the main point of customer contact, the successful candidate will provide open and frequent communication, drive customer satisfaction, and has primary responsibility for program growth and follow-on business. The successful candidate will lead a multi-discipline team in driving safety, design quality, schedule, non-recurring engineering (NRE) budget, unit recurring cost, risk, program status, and other key program metrics. The successful candidate will execute the defined Product Development Process (PDP), Strategic Deployment Process (SDP), and Key Performance Index (KPI) processes.

Engineering background highly desired, aerospace a plus. Electro-mechanical control actuation systems a further plus.

The successful candidate must be a self-starter and operate self directed. The candidate must be an excellent communicator (verbal, written, presentation) in both technical as well as business development terminology. The candidate must be capable of developing and in depth response to a proposal with limited inputs from supporting departments.

Duties
Coordinate inter-departmental efforts; manage objectives and deadlines; identify cost and technical risks along with mitigation strategies.
Build team productivity; encourage positive attitudes; influentially communicate all levels.
Develop new business opportunities; identify and develop emerging strategic alliances; work with Engineering to evaluate emerging technologies; support strategic and IR&D planning.
Responsive interaction; building strong rapport, trust with contacts, technical and programs interfaces; developing cooperative solutions. 


Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree with emphasis in engineering and business or equivalent experience.
A minimum of eight years program related experience and prior management experience.

Computer skills to include Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Oracle.
Risk and financial analysis (EVMS) skills are required.
