Job Description for Austere Tactical Medicine Trainer UK Citizen
SCOPE:
Under direct supervision of the Director of International Operations and in collaboration with International Operations PMO, the Medical Trainer provides tactical and austere medicine training to the designated customer work force. They will work with all members of the International Operations team and other internal CHS departments as required to facilitate operations and support of recruitment, staffing, logistics and mobilization of deployed personnel.   The primary duty location to be determined by CHS and the customer’s request.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Candidate must be detail oriented with superior follow-through and communication skills and a strong ability to multi-task, organize priorities and meet deadlines.  Candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills and be customer-oriented.  Candidate must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.  Candidate must be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Must be a UK Citizen
University Degree is preferred. High School diploma or GED is required
Licensure with the Health & Care Professionals Council as a Paramedic or with the Nursing & Midwifery Council as a Registered Nurse Preferred.
Maintain current certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) or equivalent trauma course; instructor certification preferred
Must have knowledge of emergency medical course instruction, guidelines and training methodologies.

Required Experience for Austere Tactical Medicine Trainer UK Citizen
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Military medical experience to the level of Combat Medical Technician I.
Experience with deployment to austere environments as a medical provider; instructing preferred.
Additional medical certification(s) at provider and/or instructor level desirable.
Deployed/Operational medicine support experience is preferred

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES for Austere Tactical Medicine Trainer UK Citizen:
Plans, prepares and delivers course and training instruction.
Is knowledgeable in all aspects of pre-hospital emergency care, the techniques and methods of adult education, and management of resources and students
Will be present at all class sessions to assure program continuity and determine if the students have the cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills necessary to function with the designated level of medical training.
Administer tests and keep records as necessary.
Coordinates with appropriate training center to include coordination of courses and submission of rosters.
Conducts courses for the customer workforce on the schedule coordinated between CHS and the customer.
Completes all paperwork and rosters and tracks all students, their training and levels of proficiency.
Anticipates emerging operational issues and provides solutions.
Answers questions pertaining to medical training and scopes of practice
Manages and updates medical training facilities, to enhance mission capabilities
Performs other job-related duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS for Austere Tactical Medicine Trainer UK Citizen:
Must be confirmed by a medical examination to be “medically and dentally fit” in accordance CHS Medical Readiness Guidelines and Policies and/or as dictated by the Client
No conditions that would prevent the wear of personal protective equipment; including protective mask, ballistic helmet, body armor and chemical/biological protective garments or conditions that would prevent the capability of donning, lifting or carrying of up to 70 lbs. of referenced gear while running to a bunker or protected area in the face of perceived or imminent danger.
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
The climate is desert-like, hot, and prone to dust storms.
