Job Description
MISSION:  The mission is in support of F-16 Base Operations Support/Base Life Support/ Security (BBS services) to provide effective and efficient F-16 BBS services to the Iraqi F-16 mission at Balad Air Base as part of a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case to the Government of Iraq.

SCOPE:
All services shall be provided in accordance with established standards, principles and ethics of the profession, applicable professional specialty organizations, and the high-quality standard for which CHS is recognized.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of an associate’s degree or certificate in dental hygiene
Must have successfully completed an educational program that meets or exceeds the standards described in that regulation, and is accredited by an organization recognized by the Department of Education, and be certified as radiographers in their field
A minimum of 2 years’ experience is required.
Hold and maintain a current unrestricted U.S. (State) license Must have a current U.S. Passport.
Have and maintain current certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Participate in training, (including HIPAA training)
All healthcare providers must have current clinical experience in direct patient care and have worked a minimum of 6 of the last 12 months in desired career field.   

This position is notional based on contract award and available positions. 

Required Skills
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Remove tartar, stains, and plaque from teeth
Apply sealants and fluorides to help protect teeth
Take and develop dental x rays
Keep track of patient care and treatment plans
Teach patients oral hygiene, such as how to brush and floss correctly
Depending on the state of employment the hygienists may place and carve filling materials, temporary fillings, and apply periodontal dressings
Assists with the managing of day to day activities and prioritizing tasks
Operates personal computer to access e-mail, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software.
Complies with all applicable CHS standards and guidelines.
Attends and participates in a variety of meetings and task force groups to improve quality and outcomes, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, new task efforts, and new policy requirements.
Other duties as  assigned

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
To be creditable, the experience must have required the use of knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics (also referred to as “core competencies”) associated with current professional dental hygiene practice. Evidence of such experience includes experience in private practice, or local/state/federal health care facilities Study anatomy, physiology, nutrition, radiography, and periodontology (study of gum disease)
Requires a corporate background check, and a favorably adjudicated investigation if required by contract.
Must sign a CHS Foreign Service Agreement (FSA) and is bound to the terms and conditions of the FSA.
Shall be proficient in the ability to speak, write and communicate in English.
Work hours are based on 72 hr. work week 12 hours a day.
Complete a Foreign Affairs training course prior to deployments

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be confirmed by a medical examination to be “medically and dentally fit” in accordance with CHS requirements.
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
The climate is desert-like, hot, and prone to dust storms.
