Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer for Palo Alto, CA 

Responsibilities
•Development of next generation mechanical systems.
•Develop product specifications that meet functional requirements.
•Help oversee development projects and project team members.
•Critically review engineering designs.
•Ensure adherence to company design and development guidelines and SOPs.
•Work in an exciting, fast-paced environment to help design products, automation systems, and devices which are the core of Theranos' technology.
•Setting goals/deadlines and adhering to them, holding teams accountable for meeting deadlines to drive results.
•Familiarity with complex assembly, and working with production engineers and manufacturing engineers to develop SOPs.
Requirements
•Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related fields from a top tier university and superior academic credentials.
•7+ years of experience in industrial environment.
•Strong electro-mechanical experience desired.
•Experience managing teams directly is a must.
•Project management skills are highly desired.
•Experience with large scale automation or highly complex type of products.
•Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude and experience in complex computer/software programming.
•Excellent command of CAD software (SolidWorks or equivalent).
•Experience in GD&T.
•Machine shop experience/ familiarity is a strong plus.
•Ability to function in a multi-disciplined team environment.
•Ability to perform experiments autonomously.
•Desire to use skills and knowledge to problem-solve outside of comfort-zone and learn on-the-fly when necessary.
•Excellent time management and data presentation skills.
