 • This position will serve as part of a comprehensive team of health care professionals providing high quality outpatient care and emergency services for the Onsite OHS Health Center
 • Provide immediate care to ill and injured patients in a pre-hospital situation

Responsibilities
 • This individual will work closely with administrative and other medical professionals to provide first class patient care, respond to all emergency situations, and maintain patient safety, care, and confidentiality
 • Help to resuscitate patients in an emergency before hospital admission
 • Provide medical assistance during emergency situations, such as CPR, AED, prevent shock, control severe bleeding, prevent spinal damage, etc
 • Administer intravenous medications, drips, and oxygen
 • Perform endotracheal intubations
 • Monitor patient’s condition and keep it stable while en route to the hospital
 • Create a patient care report and take notes of the medical treatment given to the patient
 • Keep the equipment clean after use
 • Check and replace damaged and used supplies
 • Decontaminate the interior of the ambulance if used to transport a patient suffering from a contagious disease
 • On a regular and continuous basis, exercises administrative judgment and assume responsibility for decisions, consequences and results having an impact on people, costs and/or quality of service within the functional area
 • Serves as a resource in a team environment
 • Work efficiently with EMR system
 • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
 • Current paramedic license required
 • Paramedic registration required
 • BLS certification required
 • ACLS certification required
 • ITLS, PHTLS, ATLS, or similar required
 • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a paramedic
 • Knowledge of professional standards of care
 • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationship with others
 • Ability to effectively communicate in English orally and in writing
 • Basic computer skills
 • Should have experience on deployed contingency operations or similar medical experience
