DUTIES:
This Executive Assistant position is located within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), in the Office of Law Enforcement/Federal Air Marshal Service (OLE/FAMS), Flight Operations Division (FLT OPS), Operations Branch, Transportation Security Operations Center (TSOC).  Duties include, but are not limited to:
•Maintaining the TSA Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) for the North American Aerospace Defense Command and United States Northern Command (NNC) TSA Liaison office.
•Developing and implementing both operational and administrative procedures to be used in the office.
•Serving as the main point of contact for questions related to administrative processes and procedures for travel related issues.
•Maintaining the TSA Liaison Officer (LNO) portal page within the NNC intranet infrastructure intended to provide additional awareness for NNC professionals.
•Liaising with numerous TSA airport personnel nation-wide to facilitate gate greetings and to expedite screening for certain national and international dignitaries.
•Coordinating the administrative and logistical requirements necessary for frequent VIP visits, and supporting distinguished military and government officials visiting the command.
•Coordinating with senior NNC leadership staff to facilitate briefings and visits to include initial visit requests, clearance requirements, and facilitators to ensure all administrative requirements are met.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
To qualify for the SV-G Pay Band (equivalent to the GS-11), you must have one year of specialized experience at the SV-F or GS-9 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience includes applying analytical and office management skills to ensure mission support; assisting with the maintenance of a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) for a large program office; coordinating the administrative and logistical requirements necessary for VIP visits; maintaining files or records; utilizing computer programs such as Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel and Word; and serving as the main point of contact for questions related to administrative processes and procedures for travel related issues.
OR Completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a field of study which is in or directly related to this position.
OR Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.
OR LL.M., if related.
OR Combining Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed graduate level education, beyond the second year, and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for this position, and may be computed by first determining your total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the band level; then determining your education as a percentage of the education required for the band level; and then adding the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent.
