ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST – Patuxent River, MD
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Type: Full time, permanent or temp


As a member of the Environmental Engineering/Scientist staff, the environmental scientist is responsible for independently authoring Programmatic Environment, Safety and Occupational health Evaluations (PESHE) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation as an Environment Safety and Occupational health (ESOH) subject matter expert. Independently applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapon subsystems or systems. Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analysis, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. Interfaces with system or program contractors, vendors, and government representatives regarding the technical aspects of engineering programs/projects.

Education
Required - Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, chemistry, biology or equivalent science. Each advanced technical degree may be substituted for a year of experience. Knowledge of environmental compliance policy of the DOD & DON as an Environment, Safety and Occupational Health (ESOH) Subject Matter Expert.
Minimum - 4 years performing the foregoing functions.
