M-C - Security System Specialist












We are seeking a Security System Specialist to support Joint Task Force-GTMO for Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Location: Guantanamo Bay, Cuba
Clearance: TS
Salary: Commensurate with experience

We are seeking a Security System Specialist to support Joint Task Force-GTMO.  Will conduct security assessments, design, install, monitor, administer, and maintain automated IDS, biometrics, access control systems, CCTV, surveillance cameras and IDS fence-line throughout the JTF Area of Operations in accordance with applicable government regulations and specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Monitor all JTF-GTMO IDS and access-controlled facilities monthly or upon request for any deficiencies in the event logs and system.
·Provide the JTF-GTMO CSM and Personnel Security Representative with the results in memorandum format.
·Generate and dispense user codes, train users on equipment operation, and provide administrative documentation as required by the JTF-J2 Command Security Manager. Retain copies of documentation for one year.
·Liaise with the JTF-GTMO CSM to coordinate security system new requirements, modifications, maintenance, site visits, and other tasks to include attending meetings as required.
·Perform routine maintenance on badging systems and equipment.
·Report all security violations to the JTF-GTMO CSM, Personnel Security Representative, and facility security representative within 24 hours of the incident.
·Maintain expendable supplies inventory and submit orders to the JTF Security Manager for approval and purchase in a timely manner to ensure uninterrupted badging operations.
·Other duties as assigned to support the needs of the customer/client.

REQUIREMENTS:
·High School diploma/GED
·Lenel Certification
·4 - 6 years of progressive experience in the related field experience in all areas required for the maintenance, installation, and support of automated IDS, biometrics, access control systems, CCTV, surveillance cameras, and IDS fence-line.
·Knowledge of governing laws, regulations precedents, and directives governing DoD security program.
·Knowledge of DoD physical security program concepts and principles. Proficiency in the use of COTS and GOTS to support security systems
*Medical services and treatment at USNB GTMO is limited. Pre-deployment physical / screening for pre-existing medical conditions is required by USNB Hospital GTMO. Vaccinations and immunizations are required to be current and documented on pre-deployment screening.
·Must have the ability to live to live in communal environments and work in austere and/or harsh environments
·Valid US Passport.
