M-C - Chief Engineer










We are seeking a Chief Engineer for a leading R&D engineering organization that develops advanced technologies for cyber security and cyber warfare.

Location: DC Metro Area
Clearance: TS/SCI
Salary: Commensurate with experience

Focus of this position is on research, development and transition of advanced Computer Network Operations (CNO) prototypes and systems. Candidates should have deep knowledge and experience with the following: Networking/ Communications, Operating Systems including device drivers, Virtualization Technologies, Software Development, Hardware, Programming Languages, Reverse Engineering and Exploit Development, Forensic, Malware, and Network Analysis, Expert with a Wide Array of CNO tools – Ollybg, IDA Pro, Windbg, Metasploit, and much more.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a technical expert across a wide variety of Cyber and Networking disciplines.
Participate in proposals efforts, including technical capture lead.
Identify and shape R&D business opportunities.
Support and define strategic direction and focus of Group business development efforts.
Serve as a key interface with Government clients from the DoD and IC.
Promote collaboration across business units.
Provide coaching, mentoring and model a client-focus to staff members.
Represent the Group in TS level and Company-wide business activities.
Ensure business, contract and project milestones are met.

REQUIREMENTS:
TS/SCI clearance
BS Degree CS, EE, or Math (MS or Ph.D a plus)
Very strong expertise in C/C++, LINUX/UNIX and Windows, and networking technology.
Broad  and deep array of Computer Network Operations skills including: information assurance, network defense, agent-based computing, data mining, network attack and exploitation, electronic warfare, computing system architectures, reverse engineering, network analysis, exploit development, vulnerability analysis, networking, forensic analysis and artificial intelligence. These areas span wired, RF, wireless, GSM/GPRS, and SCADA control systems, network appliances, and pervasive Windows, Linux/UNIX, Mac platforms and handhelds.
Minimum of 15-20 years of demonstrated success building and delivering prototypes and systems, with at least 10 years leading programs in multiple engineering disciplines in a technology company that offers R&D and technical services to the DoD and/or IC.
Conversant in the DoD and IC, including a deep understanding of government markets.
Past success in writing proposals, winning government contracts and completing projects.
Strong track record of hiring, mentoring, and motivating effective multidisciplinary technical teams with the ability to define objectives and focus the team on project deliverables.
Proven ability to manage projects and allocate resources appropriately.
Track record of business growth.
Ability to analyze, evaluate, develop and implement processes and systems within budget and adhere to time requirements and schedule.
Advanced knowledge of operating systems internals, computer architectures, vulnerability analysis, and security technologies highly desired.
