Become
a Mentor with the Homecoming Program
The Homecoming Program empowers veterans who are experiencing or have experienced
homelessness to create a new path toward a successful future. During a 14-week
program, group members become part of a family-like community, created through
an environment based on trust, support and respect. Group members will attend
inspirational workshops that help them develop goals and the tools for success.
The program needs
mentors to guide and support our participants throughout the 14-week cycle.
Mentors will:
1. Assist participants
in setting clear, specific, attainable goals.
2. Discuss the material covered in each of the workshop sessions.
3. Prepare the participant for Graduation.

Mentors will meet with
their participants six times during the term, not counting Graduation, so it’s
essential that mentors make a strong commitment to the program.
