Testimonials from Ex Military Recruitment and Employer Partners

In analyzing the source origin of my submittals, I found that 22 out of 53 (66-67%) of candidates that I have submitted come to us by way of www.military-civilian.com.

As in most cases, you would find many of the same folks on Secure Aspects, Danger Zone Jobs, Recruit Military Expatriate Jobs, and some even on Monster. But Lucy “herds” candidates directly to our website via her job postings. Originally, she even emailed candidates’ resumes directly to me, but I had her discontinue this because the high volume was starting to get overwhelming!
In addition, running our banner ad on Military-Civilian serves us well in terms of aiding in our branding efforts and ricocheting people to our careers site. It’s significantly more cost effective than any of the aforementioned websites listed above. All things considered, we absolutely get solid ROI from Lucy’s efforts.”
–Eric H. Elmore, Technical Recruiter, International Development Solutions

Partnering with Military-Civilian is one of the best decisions I’ve made as a recruiter, given the quantity and quality of the resumes I received from Lucy’s efforts. I would absolutely recommend her services to any organization looking to maximize their recruitment reach: her network is vast, her dedication is unshakable, and her results are proven.”
–Ralph Cacci, President, V1 Analytical Solutions

One of my clients knew that I was veteran and wanted to hire a veteran for a short turnaround overseas project; he needed resumes of qualified candidates in a very quick turnaround time. When I reached out to Lucy, she immediately got to work. I provided a Position Description, and within two weeks I had all my skilled positions interviewed and ready to deploy. The service provided by Military-Civilian is outstanding.”

SISFI's How to Help Someone in Emotional Crisis/Distress Workshop and Males Health

SISFI and The Suicide Prevention Institute in collaboration with The Carlos L. González Counseling Center invites you to a Suicide Awareness and Prevention Workshop on “How to Help Someone in Emotional Crisis/Distress” on Wednesday April 29th, 2015 at 6pm at Hostos Community College, 500 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY, 10451. The workshop will address how to help someone who is developing an emotional crisis, or is in distress and wanting to hurt or kill themselves, or struggling with the loss of a loved one. This is a very scary, emotional and uncomfortable issue that as much as you many not want to face it you never know how one day you will be faced with it and have to deal with it. Just like CPR training it's important to know how to address emergency and crisis of the heart and mind.

The workshop will be facilitated by Mr. Brett A. Scudder, Suicide Behavioral Response Director/Trainer at SISFI and The Suicide Prevention Institute.

So join us to learn about:

What do you do when someone says "I'm hurting so badly I just want to die", or, I'm tired of living and I'm going to kill myself".

What do you do when someone you love attempts to kill themself and survived and you now have to help and support them?

What do you do when you're feeling like giving up and don't see the values of living because your circumstances overwhelms you?

The workshop is FREE to the public and all are invited to attend. Seating is limited so attendees must register here https://sisfi-suicide-42915.eventbrite.com. Please share with anyone who may be in crisis, is suffering in distress or has lost a loved one to suicide or violence.

Networking Testimonial 4/27/15

Hi Lucy, I follow you regularly and try to post as many of your job openings as I can on Facebook and Twitter.

We are also posting jobs sources on our new blog which is still under construction. VETERANS IN THE COURTS INITIATIVE | BY OHIO JUSTICE EVELYN LUNDBERG STRATTON, RETIRED

The goal of the blog is to post job sources and hiring fairs and not necessarily specific jobs but we may violate that on occasion.

I still have to go back and sort out the listings but please check the job listings and hiring fairs link on our blog and any suggestions that you might have on the how to present that probably would be greatly appreciated. Without checking I think you already are listed.

But I don't like the long list of preferred to have various sub pages broken down into categories.

Our primary focus is on veterans-related criminal justice and mental illness issues. But we've added many extra features on the blog because professionals in our network like yourself do many things.

Thanks for all your hard work and supporting our veterans.

Pete

Temp Period - Free book - Powerhouse Military Book Exposes Giant Economic Opportunity

Powerhouse Military Book Exposes Giant Economic Opportunity

"The New Business Brigade: Veterans Dynamic Impact on US Business"
I wanted to thank everyone for the support for my book the "The New Business Brigade." The premise of the book is why businesses need to hire veterans and the untapped resource they represent. This country must realize at no other time in history since WWII, have so many talented men and women been returning from foreign wars and reintegrating into the workforce.  The question, will today's business owners and CEO's recognize and seize this valuable American asset?
In my book "The New Business Brigade,” I believe America's best days lie still ahead of us and the key to reaching America's true promise is to tap into her greatest overlooked natural resource; returning veterans!
In case you haven’t had the chance to purchase a copy, right now working with Amazon for three days complementary digital copies are available to the public on April 17th through April 19th.
Get your copies now and help spread the word! When you read it leave a book review on Amazon letting everyone else know what valuable resources veterans are, and how they can transform America!
