SFL-TAP Hire a Soldier Campaign Contest - Week #1
This week, the Soldier for Life ? Transition Assistance Program (SFL-TAP) will host a Hire a Soldier Campaign to encourage Soldiers to prepare for transition, as well as encourage industry to hire Soldiers!
The first post for the campaign is a Hire a Soldier graphic for kick-off. Here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/
Stay tuned for events taking place over the next five weeks on our Twitter page (@SFLTAP) and on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/
A summary of the planned events is below:
? Twitter Chat with partners from multiple Army organizations, as well as participants from industry non-profits, recruiters, companies, and Soldiers about job seeking and resumes.
As a heads up, over 150 companies/organizations have reached out so far to participate in the 3 August Twitter Chat. Over 50 have double-confirmed attendance (so this event is going to be big!). We would appreciate you helping to keep the momentum during this campaign high and encouraging Soldiers to participate. The networking opportunities for these events are huge for Soldiers - and everyone can participate at any time via their phone, laptop, or computer nationally/internationally! I will begin to send out event graphics and advertisements for you to spread the word soon!
? A Facebook contest featuring YOUR best advice for transitioning Soldiers.
The big news for this week is that the Facebook Best Advice for Transitioning Soldiers Contest starts on Thursday! The winner will be announced via Facebook Live by the Sergeant Major of the Army, Daniel Dailey in August. We will post the submission guidelines on our page Thursday and create the album. Stay tuned to www.facebook.com/ArmySFLTAP for advertisements that lead up to the announcement and when to watch SMA Dailey go live later this summer.
? Facebook Live guest speakers talking about their experience transitioning through SFL-TAP, including personal branding, networking, and social media.
? Reasons to Hire a Soldier
? Facebook Live event on resumes.
For more information, be sure to follow along on Facebook and set your notifications to "on" (click the "liked" button) or "see first" (click the "following" button). You don't want to miss these events!
If you are a company/recruiter interested in hiring veterans and would like to get emailed direct information about how you can get involved in our Twitter Chat/Campaign, please contact usarmy.knox.hrc.mbx.tagd-sfl-
Service members if you have questions, please send your message on social media (www.facebook.com/armySFLTAP).
Join the movement. Hire a Soldier. #HireaSoldier
