Planned Systems International is seeking a Senior Information Assurance Architect (DC/VA Metropolitan Area) - Urgent Opportunity/Don't Delay Response

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Solutions Architect will provide technical Information Assurance (IA) architecture, engineering, integration, and technical expertise to Department of Defense stakeholders.
The Senior Solutions Architect will take on a leadership role within the IA organization and serve as the interface between Planned Systems International, DoD internal stakeholders, and external parties from a technical prospective.

Duties will include the following:
Managing computer and network defense capabilities at the Tier 2 and Tier 3 levels.
Acting as the liaison for guidance from DoD and Agency partners regarding current and new IA initiatives, products, guidance, and direction.
Providing oversight to assist DoD Stakeholders with engineering and integration of IA technology.
Providing IA guidance for architecture, engineering, and implementation efforts for DoD customers to include providing direction for IA technologies, capabilities, and initiatives driven by DoD and Federal directives and policy.
Attending IA working groups and forums for information gathering about new requirements from DoD and Federal agencies.
Evaluating and reviewing IA technology configurations regularly to remain up-to-date and assess application and feasibility for implementation.
Integrating existing IA products with new hardware and software from DoD-managed systems.
Teaming with other DoD divisions as appropriate for the implementation of new IA-related capabilities.
Providing IA reviews for the acquisition, installation, training, and sustainment of technology products.
Preparing documentations for Request for Change (RFC) submissions to include Business Needs Analysis.
Providing oversight of new DoD customer initiatives and existing projects to ensure all technologies, applications, systems, and architectures and completed in compliance with DoD security policy, directives, and guidance during implementation.
Providing risk assessment for all technology projects and partnering with the Designated Accrediting Authority to include: STIG review, encryption methods, Authentication review, customer practices, associated risks with specific technology, and risk mitigation considerations.

Minimum Requirements:
Seven years of Information Assurance experience from an information technology infrastructure background.
At least four years applying DoD policy, direction, and guidance to customer environments.
Must hold a certification as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent.
Must hold one of the following certifications:  MCITP, MCSA, and/or MCSE.
Knowledgeable of DoD security policies, directive, and guidelines (i.e. DoDI 8500.2, CJCSI 6510.01, DISA STIGs).
Experience in network and/or systems architecture design and implementation (i.e. security stack and integration with office3 automation products and services to include production, test, development, and DMZ enclaves).
Knowledge of current Microsoft server and workstation Operation System security configurations.
Experience with current Red Hat Linux Enterprise OS and Unix OS Security configurations.
Network architecture and design with regards to VMWare security, database security (i.e. Oracle, MS SQL, and MS Access), and border device security (firewall, VLANs, IP Sub netting, ports, and protocols).
Knowledgeable of encryption standards, auditing (i.e. system accounts, security logs, system & network anomalies), and security event monitoring
Extensive working knowledge with DoD customers across a variety of interacting organizations.
Must hold an in-scope DoD Security clearance at the TS/SCI level.

Additionally Desired Qualifications:
Master’s degree in information systems, cyber security, or project management.
Experience supervising and leading others within one’s own profession.
Experience and knowledge of Host-Based Security System (HBSS), content filtering technologies, antivirus solutions, whitelisting technology, vulnerability scanning and assessment products, and security log correlation management.
