KEY REQUIREMENTS:
•You must possess U.S. Citizenship.
•You must complete a favorable Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
•You must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Secret Clearance.
•You must pass Drug and Alcohol Screening, subject to random drug tests.           
DUTIES:
As the Deputy Assistant Administrator (DAA) for Intelligence and Analysis, you will assist the Assistant Administrator (AA) for Intelligence and Analysis (AA) in establishing strategic direction, and oversee a full spectrum of intelligence and analysis functions. You will serve as the deputy intelligence official in TSA and function as a technical expert for TSA on matters involving intelligence programs and activities. The DAA is a senior management official in TSA and shares overall responsibility with the AA on matters involving leadership and direction in the formulation, development and execution of TSA's intelligence and vetting management programs. You will provide day-to-day executive leadership and operational oversight and direction to various divisional elements under intelligence and analysis, and exercise broad authority and responsibility for administrative and management policies, strategic planning, and program operations. You will work closely with the AA for Intelligence and Analysis in determining, planning, directing, and managing the intelligence requirements or TSA, in accordance with defined goals and objectives, which are congruent with the strategic plan and the Aviation Transportation Security Act. You will oversee and manage the identification, receipt, analysis, maintenance, dissemination and exchange of intelligence information focusing on terrorism and other threats to the transportation infrastructure and the traveling public, national security, and all manner of related activities. You will establish, develop and maintain cooperative relationships with intelligence agencies and certain law enforcement officials for the timely exchange of intelligence information, on a national and/or international level. You will develop and implement plans and procedures to share intelligence and other threat information with the TSA field elements and the transportation security community, and develop, implement, amend and revise TSA intelligence policies and procedures. You will provide management oversight and direction concerning personnel, policies and programs (e.g., human resources, budget, information technology, facilities, equipment, procurement); and ensures the efficient and effective acquisition, use, distribution and disposal of Office resources incompliance with applicable policies, procedures, laws and directives.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
To qualify for this position, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level close to the level of the work of this job that has given you the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required for successful performance. You would typically gain this experience by working within this field or a field of work that is closely related. Examples of qualifying experience may include: providing innovative and expert leadership in the establishment and implementation of comprehensive intelligence strategies; overseeing and managing intelligence information focusing on terrorism and other threats to the transportation infrastructure; and/or developing and implementing plans and procedures to share intelligence and other threat information in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, laws and directives.

As a basic requirement, applicants must demonstrate progressively responsible leadership experience that is indicative of senior executive level managerial capability and directly related to the skills and abilities outlined in the "How You Will Be Evaluated" section of the Job Opportunity Announcement. Typically, experience of this nature will have been gained at or above the equivalent of the GS-15 grade level in the Federal service or its equivalent with state and local government, the private sector, or non-governmental organizations.
