4th Annual Veterans in the Vineyard Salute to Veteran -- Save the Date 6 Oct 2018

You are invited to join us for the 4th Annual Veterans in the Vineyards; a salute to military veterans and their families, 12:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday, October 6, 2018.  

We will be honoring all active duty military, Guard, Reserve, Veterans, military retirees and their families.  

Everyone is welcome, free of charge! RSVPs are appreciated but not required.  

Veteran oriented organizations and vendors will be on display.

The event will be held at the wonderful Gauthier Equestrian Center and Vineyard, 5000 Farmers Drive, Barhamsville, VA 23011. Just East of Richmond off Interstate 64. Live music will be provided by the famous Code Blue Grass Band. Mission BBQ will serve its fabulous food and fixings.

So bring the family and come on down to the 4^th Annual Veterans in the Vineyard, salute to our veterans. 

Music, BBQ, water, parking and admission are provided gratis. 

Those, 21 years or older, may wish to participate in winetasting at the vineyard. To do so a modest donation may be made at the door to the Yellow Ribbon Fund. 100% of all donations are provided directly to YRF for support and services to our military Wounded , Ill and Injured.

VA Loma Linda is honored to have been selected as a pilot site for the Clay Hunt Suicide Prevention for American Veterans Act H.R. 203 (Section 5).   The Clay Hunt SAV ACT was created to address the high rate of suicide amongst our Veteran population.  As a pilot site, we are charged with creating an integrated approach to serving this vulnerable Veteran population by connecting with community stakeholders, government, educational entities that include external members from community organizations, state and local governments, colleges and universities, chambers of commerce and other local business organizations, and organizations that provide legal aid or advice.  

To this end, we have created the VA Loma Linda Veterans   Veteran’s Community Outreach Team (VCOT).  This robust and diverse entity serves to educate, gain interest in, and enact the requirements of Section 5 of the Clay Hunt SAV Act.  We invite Lucy Jenson to be a member of VCOT and work with us to implement the act.

VCOT meets on the 1^st Wednesday of each month at 1400 at Loma Linda VA Ambulatory Care Center (Location of room # will be emailed prior to each meeting).  Please free to contact us should you have any questions.
