You will perform complex, in-depth studies, and direct and coordinate working groups on significant organizational and program issues that impact TSA at the national level. Assignments are often multi-jurisdictional in nature and require the interpretation of legal requirements. You will be required to adapt, advocate, and defend TSA policies and procedures. You will perform significant liaison duties and coordination with stakeholders, other Federal agencies, and foreign government counterparts. Specific duties and responsibilities include:
•Ensuring compliance of TSA policies for the programs assigned.
•Participating in continuous development, coordination, and implementation of transportation security procedures as mandated by the Aviation Transportation Security Act of November 19, 2001.

 •Maintaining a significant role in Surface and Aviation VIPRs and providing the assistance of headquarters subject matter experts (e.g., inspection, policy, enforcement, and oversight analysis) to the field TSls.
•Maintaining the extensive incident, inspection, and investigation PARIS data base and developing and executing extensive training programs for TSIs.
•Providing management guidance and direction in the interpretation, application, and implementation of inspection and enforcement laws, guidelines, policies, and procedures applicable to external activities (e.g., the transportation security industry stakeholders and contractors) which have impact and relationship to the TSA's mission in multi-modal operations.
•Establishing and maintaining an operations communication system capable of sharing information rapidly with participants in the overall inspection organization structure.
•Advising the Division Director on inspection management programs, enforcement requirements, and methods in each mode of responsibility.
•Making presentations and providing support for OSO interests at formal and informal meetings with key representatives by communicating the AA's viewpoint on programs, operational issues, and other related matters.
QUALIFICATION:
For the SV-L Pay Band, you must have one year of specialized experience at the SV-K Pay Band or GS-15 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in state or local government or the private sector. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. You would typically gain this experience by working within this field or a field of work that is closely related. AMERICAN SYSTEMS has a growing need for Forensic Specialists supporting our customers around the globe. Our need for forensic specialists includes such diverse areas including Forensic DNA analysts. These are deployed positions.

Forensic DNA Analyst
Candidates will perform scientific analysis of evidence, including blood and bloodstains, body fluids, and stains of body fluids, hair and other items requiring DNA or related analysis; generation of DNA profiles, performance of visual and microscopic examination of hairs; comparison of evidence from victims, scenes, or instruments of incidents to evidence from suspects.

Experience required:
Four (4) years of experience working in a forensic laboratory performing DNA analysis on criminal evidence, including blood and bloodstains, body fluids, and stains of body fluids, hair and other items requiring DNA or related analysis; generation of DNA profiles, performance of visual and microscopic examination of hairs; comparison of evidence from victims, scenes, or instruments of incidents to evidence from suspects.
