Salary Range:  $119,554 - $179,700

The USCG is announcing a challenging Senior Executive Service career opportunity to serve as Director, International Affairs and Foreign Policy Advisor responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing agency strategy, policies and programs relating to Coast Guard international activities. The position establishes agency-wide goals, objectives, and procedures for the Coast Guard’s international activities and develops agency direction, strategy, guidance, and assistance for Coast Guard international initiatives.  The Director, International Affairs and Foreign Policy Advisor shall:

•             Serve as key policy advisor on the full range of agency activities related to international affairs and international engagement.
•             Develop objectives, oversee logistical arrangements and coordinate briefing materials for the international travel and meeting with foreign visitors of the highest level of Coast Guard officials.
•             Serve as Chairman of the Coast Guard's International Advisory Group (IAG) which develops recommended strategies, policies, and direction regarding the agency's international engagement.

The selectee must attain a Top Secret clearance with SCI access, complete a Personal Financial Disclosure Report, and undergo pre/post-appointment random drug testing.  U.S. Citizenship required.
