General Description:
This position will serve as part of a comprehensive team of health care professionals providing high quality outpatient care in a state/government hospital. General responsibilities include: Cutting, staining, mounting, grossing, and performing special procedures on specimens of human tissue to provide data on functioning tissues and organs. Histotechnologist will also act in a teaching role to the Azerbaijani employees.

Experience:
Two (2) plus years’ experience as a working Histotechnologist required
Vast Clinical Experience and Knowledge required
Military Service with deployments to other countries preferred but not required

Required Credentials:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education
Graduate of a clinical education in a histotechnician (HT) program accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS)
HTL (ASCP) certification
BLS certification
Lab Computer skills
Proficient with various lab equipment
Three (3) Letters of Recommendation
Must have a current U.S. Passport
Must have a current U.S. Driver’s License

Qualifications:
Be physically able to perform physical duties such as heavy lifting, kneeling, bending, etc.
Have a leadership mentality with a positive attitude
Ability to function as part of a team, as well as work independently
Knowledge of professional standards of care
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationship with others
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
Computer skills to include Microsoft Office software and general computer navigation skills
