KEY REQUIREMENTS:
•You must possess U.S. Citizenship or be a U.S. National.
•You must complete a favorable Background Investigation (BI).
•You must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

DUTIES:
This Equal Employment Specialist position is located in the Compliance Program Section, Equal Employment Opportunity Management Branch (EEO), Civil Rights Division (CRD), Office of Civil Rights and Liberties, Ombudsman and Traveler Engagement (CRL/OTE), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS).  Duties include:
•Acting as a liaison between the Civil Rights Division, Office of Chief Counsel, Office of Human Capital, and Office of Finance and Administration to ensure that the Agency complies with the terms of EEO settlement agreements and EEOC decisions.
•Maintaining a spreadsheet of all open and completed compliance actions; Preparing and submitting compliance reports to the Department of Homeland Security Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties.
•Preparing responses to allegations of breach of EEO settlement agreements for review by the Branch Manager, EEO Management Branch.
•Maintaining complete case files for EEO settlements and EEOC decisions and keeping all case files up to date with current status of all cases.
•Coordinating and communicating with stakeholders involved in the implementation of EEO settlement agreements.
•Assisting the Branch Manager, EEO Management Branch in the preparation of statistical analysis of compliance issues.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
To qualify for the SV-H Pay Band (equivalent to GS-12), you must have one year of specialized experience at the SV-G Pay Band (GS-11) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience includes experience interpreting EEO settlement agreements or allegations of breach of settlement agreements, and EEOC findings of discrimination; and experience using EEO case management systems, (i.e., iComplaints or a comparable system), Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

NOTE: Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio, i.e., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience. No additional credit is given for overtime.
