HUD AND VA TEAM UP TO HELP MORE THAN 9, 000 HOMELESS VETERANS FIND PERMANENT HOMES

Today, HUD Secretary Julian Castro announced $62 million in awards of HUD-VASH vouchers to PHAs to assist in their efforts to end Veteran homelessness by 2015.  Today’s funding announcement will support 8,276 tenant-based vouchers and 730 project-based vouchers for homeless Veterans under the HUD-VASH program.

HUD will soon send  invitations to PHAs for a second round of HUD-VASH tenant-based vouchers.
