1stLt Alexander Bonnyman USMC Funeral in Knoxville, TN - MOH, Hero of Tawara

Folks, here's a video of the funeral for the WWII Medal of Honor Recipient Alexander Bonnyman who's remains have been returned.

Lt. Bonnyman was a Marine engineer assigned to the Shore Party Unit when he was killed 73 years ago, and his remains were discovered earlier this year. He was a recipient of the Medal of Honor for his actions on Tarawa. He enlisted in the Marine Corps at the age of 35, served as a Private on Gradual Canal and received a battlefield commission in that campaign. A real American hero and we are proud that he is an East Tennessee Veteran. The ceremony was very moving and the marines performed with perfection.
