Needs Experience in NOSQL as well as ETL

Key Role for Database Architect Mid Virginia:
Design and construct database structures, including normalized, de-normalized, and data warehouse and database topologies. Develop data modeling and maintain responsibility for data acquisition, access analysis and design, and archive, recovery, and load strategy design and implementation. Coordinate new data development, ensuring consistency and integration with existing warehouse structure, review business requests for data and data usage, and research data sources for new and better data feeds. Assist with continuous improvement efforts in enhancing performance and providing increased functionality. Apply knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of a particular field of specialization to the completion of moderately difficult assignments. Perform assignments that are broad in nature that require originality and ingenuity, work with appreciable latitude for unreviewed actions or decisions, and report to the lead or top technical specialist level

Basic Qualifications for Database Architect Mid Virginia:
-5+ years of experience in a database engineering or database administration role
-Experience with multiple differentiated storage technology and identifying, defining, and tuning appropriate storage technology, including Flash-based storage, such as SLC and MLC, iSCSI SAN, RDMA, clustered filesystems, InfiniBand, HDFS, and Fiber Channel storage
-Experience with designing and creating database structures, including normalized, de-normalized, and data warehouse database topologies and providing product and new technology research and evaluation
-Experience with implementing and deploying geospatial relational database solutions, including spatial index manipulation and geography or geometry transforms
-Experience with performing optimizations of databases to increase performance and upgrading database products based on vendor specifications
-Experience with developing appropriate queries to retrieve data from the database, looking into the security issues of the data, and developing structures, procedures, and triggers
-Experience with Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes, including document parsing techniques and managing large data sets, such as multi TB scale
-Knowledge of NoSQL databases, including Titan, Mongo, Cassandra, and HBase
TS/SCI Clearance a MUST 
-BS degree in CS, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering
