VA Loma Linda

As of Tuesday, December 1, 2015, VA Loma Linda’s Veterans Express Transit System (V.E.T.S.) will be providing free transportation to Veterans in southern Riverside County!!!! The VA operated, 30 passenger bus will run Monday-Friday, except on holidays and will pick up Veterans (and their family members/caregiver) from 3 pick-up points: Perris Transit Center, Murrieta CBOC, and the Moreno Valley Mall. The bus only stops at theses designated pick-up points and will bring Veterans straight to the main entrance of the VA Loma Linda and includes round-trip!  In case you did not know, it normally takes Veterans traveling from Murrieta or Hemet, approximately 3.5 hrs to take a fixed route bus to the VA Loma Linda. With this express transportation service, Veterans can now get to their appointments from those areas in approximately 1 hour of less. The bus arrives to the VA daily at approximately 9am and leaves at 3:00pm sharp! See the attached V.E.T.S. booklet for additional information. Reservations can be made at x2835. Description For Network Storage Specialist Junior:

Under immediate supervision, install, maintain, secure, and monitor day-to-day storage infrastructure, including storage provisioning, issue resolution and ensuring storage arrays and SAN devices are operational.  Schedule, facilitate, and perform system maintenance, as necessary.  Respond to alerts and events.  Troubleshoot and resolve problems, escalate as necessary.  Familiar with knowledge of key solutions such as Data Sharing, Network Attached Storage (NAS), Disaster Recovery preparation, and integration of these capabilities with Cloud Computing and Cyber architectures.  Ability to work with cluster file systems and other technologies to provide redundancy and availability for server farms and applications.  Experience with administering Windows Operating Systems and Windows Operating Systems environment.  Experience with storage network devices.  Possess foundational knowledge of vendor-neutral storage networking concepts, technologies, and solutions.  Know storage concepts, disc technology, storage architectures, storage management, and storage and networking protocols, such as Fiber Channel protocols and Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI).


Qualifications  For Network Storage Specialist Junior:

• Two (2) to four (4) years experience required

• High school Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)

• IAT II Certification required

• Two entry level certifications in vendor solutions such as Veritas, EMC, NetApp, or Tivoli, etc., required

• Also Required: SCSP or CompTIA Storage+ Powered by SNIA
Clearance: Current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with SECRET clearance

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities For Functional Manpower Program Analyst:
The candidate’s core responsibilities will include, but not to be limited to:
Defining the appropriate workforce mix (military, civilian, and contract personnel) to support the DHA mission.
Planning, organizing, and conducting manpower analyses and requirements determinations for DHA positions and mix for military, civilian, and contract personnel, perform data collection,  forecasting and optimization studies, coordinate with tri-service personnel systems and points of contact.
Supporting development of DoD manpower documentation and Joint Table of Distribution.
Conducting risk assessments to minimize adverse impacts on the workforce due to restructuring and external factors such as changes in mission requirements.
Providing input and analysis to a wide variety of Programming Branch activities to Program Objective Memorandum (POM) support; Joint Table of Distribution (JTD) (manpower document)  production; Budget Estimate Submission (BES).
Supporting the DHA corporate structure activities including the Requirements and Resourcing Board and the Senior Requirements and Resourcing Council.
Supporting the allocation of the DHA manpower authorization levels over  the Future Year Defense Program (FYDP).
Supporting the development and coordination of Planning, Programming, Budget System (PPBS) input such as Memorandum of Agreements (MOAs) and Program Issue Papers.
Supporting of the Medical Personnel Operation Group (MPOG).
Using DoD Manpower & Organization tools, standards, processes, instructions and directives to establish management processes for the DHA to ensure transparency and accountability of manpower resourcing.
Establishing a manpower resource allocation process for military and civilian manpower resources that align with the DHA program of record.
Providing support in the development, finalization and sustainment of the DHA JTD that includes the headquarters, and the National Capital Region, including the military treatment facilities.
Providing assistance in the development of an integrated master schedule with a plan of action and milestones chart(s) to measure program schedule, and performance.
Providing direct-support in the documentation of the manpower baseline for the DHA and make this information available to ensure full transparency.
Offering assistance, support, and recommendations to enable accountability for organization discipline and resource tracking through direct communications with the various agency directorates and Service medical command stakeholder interactions (via meetings, governance channels, etc.,).


Minimum Requirements For Functional Manpower Program Analyst:
Bachelor’s Degree  in related field with minimum 3-5+ years’ experience as a Manpower Analyst within the DoD.

An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered (5+ years’ relevant experience can be substituted for degree).
Overall experience in manpower analysis programs and Government consulting expertise is required.
Federal health experience highly desirable (DoD, MHS).
Must be able to gather and analyze information skillfully.
Experience working with the Military Health System is highly desirable.
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and SharePoint.
Strong oral, written communications, influencing, interpersonal and organizational skills.
In addition, U.S Citizenship is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance. Individuals may also be subject to a background investigation to include but not limited to criminal history, employment and education verification, drug, testing, and creditworthiness.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities For Functional Manpower Program Analyst:
The candidate’s core responsibilities will include, but not to be limited to:
Defining the appropriate workforce mix (military, civilian, and contract personnel) to support the DHA mission.
Planning, organizing, and conducting manpower analyses and requirements determinations for DHA positions and mix for military, civilian, and contract personnel, perform data collection,  forecasting and optimization studies, coordinate with tri-service personnel systems and points of contact.
Supporting development of DoD manpower documentation and Joint Table of Distribution.
Conducting risk assessments to minimize adverse impacts on the workforce due to restructuring and external factors such as changes in mission requirements.
Providing input and analysis to a wide variety of Programming Branch activities to Program Objective Memorandum (POM) support; Joint Table of Distribution (JTD) (manpower document)  production; Budget Estimate Submission (BES).
Supporting the DHA corporate structure activities including the Requirements and Resourcing Board and the Senior Requirements and Resourcing Council.
Supporting the allocation of the DHA manpower authorization levels over  the Future Year Defense Program (FYDP).
Supporting the development and coordination of Planning, Programming, Budget System (PPBS) input such as Memorandum of Agreements (MOAs) and Program Issue Papers.
Supporting of the Medical Personnel Operation Group (MPOG).
Using DoD Manpower & Organization tools, standards, processes, instructions and directives to establish management processes for the DHA to ensure transparency and accountability of manpower resourcing.
Establishing a manpower resource allocation process for military and civilian manpower resources that align with the DHA program of record.
Providing support in the development, finalization and sustainment of the DHA JTD that includes the headquarters, and the National Capital Region, including the military treatment facilities.
Providing assistance in the development of an integrated master schedule with a plan of action and milestones chart(s) to measure program schedule, and performance.
Providing direct-support in the documentation of the manpower baseline for the DHA and make this information available to ensure full transparency.
Offering assistance, support, and recommendations to enable accountability for organization discipline and resource tracking through direct communications with the various agency directorates and Service medical command stakeholder interactions (via meetings, governance channels, etc.,).


Minimum Requirements For Functional Manpower Program Analyst:
Bachelor’s Degree  in related field with minimum 3-5+ years’ experience as a Manpower Analyst within the DoD.

An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered (5+ years’ relevant experience can be substituted for degree).
Overall experience in manpower analysis programs and Government consulting expertise is required.
Federal health experience highly desirable (DoD, MHS).
Must be able to gather and analyze information skillfully.
Experience working with the Military Health System is highly desirable.
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and SharePoint.
Strong oral, written communications, influencing, interpersonal and organizational skills.
In addition, U.S Citizenship is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance. Individuals may also be subject to a background investigation to include but not limited to criminal history, employment and education verification, drug, testing, and creditworthiness.


Additional Desired Qualifications For Functional Manpower Program Analyst:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
Certified Strategic Workforce Planner (SWP).
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
