Preventative Medicine Coordinator for Afghanistan

In this position you will be required to apply a full range of public health concepts and practices on site, using furnished facilities, equipment and supplies to a variety of patients in an austere environment.
Job Duties:
Handle all preventative medicine and communicable disease control
Gathers and studies all beneficiary morbidity data to begin baseline and find trends
Conducts any and all investigations concerning the health of the population
Provides disease prevention educational material
Controls and enforces all sanitation guidelines
Provides information to the public on possible diseases in the given austere environment
Monitors disease trends and gives advice on possible solutions and/or options
Trained to contain any and all disease outbreaks
Meet all Joint Commission standards
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Degrees accepted: -Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing -Masters of Science Degree emphasizing public or community health
Public Health Officer in the Military strongly preferred
Knowledge in austere environment diseases and illnesses
Deployment experience strongly preferred
Military Equivalents: AFSC 43H4, AFSC 43H3, and AFSC 43H1
Related DoD Occupational Group: 6H
