•You must complete a favorable Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
•You must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

DUTIES:
This Transportation Security Specialist position is located within the Transportation Security Operations Center, Operations Branch, Flight Operations Division, Office of Law Enforcement/Federal Air Marshal Service (OLE/FAMS), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS).If selected, you will serve as a multi-functional Watch Officer responsible for interfacing with command centers to discuss areas of concerns. Duties included but are not limited to:
 •Preparing, conducting and disseminating daily combined operations and intelligence briefings; monitoring message traffic, email systems, portal sites, chat rooms, open source, etc. for items of interest and coordination across the Transportation Security Operations Center (TSOC) area of focus.
•Analyzing characterizations and making recommendations based on overall understanding of pertinent guidance material and the nature of events as they unfold; drafting, proofing, and executing Agency wide notifications using a variety of communications media, as directed by the Command Duty Officer.
•As a member of the crisis action team, responsible for drafting reports, putting together and distributing talking points as the direct arm of the incident and incident manager.
•Identifying problems and developing recommendations, multi-tasking, instructing and performing in real-time situations quickly and effectively.
•Participating in a variety of training evolutions and exercises including intra-agency, inter-agency, regional and national level events enhancing professional skills, reinforcing core positional functionalities, and improving mission readiness and performance.
