KEY REQUIREMENTS:
•You must possess U.S. Citizenship or be a U.S. National.
•You must complete a favorable Background Investigation (BI).
•You must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
•You must pass Drug and Alcohol Screening, subject to random drug tests.

DUTIES:
The incumbent serves as a Supervisory Air Marshal in Charge (SAC) of a field office in the Office of Law Enforcement, Federal Air Marshal Service (OLE/FAMS), Field Operations Division, Seattle Field Office.  The OLE/FAMS is a component of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The OLE/FAMS promotes public confidence in our Nation’s civil transportation systems through effective risk-based strategic deployment of Federal Air Marshals (FAMS) and other OLE/FAMS based on law enforcement resources in both air and land based mission related assignments in the U.S. air carriers, airports, passengers, crew and, when necessary, other transportation modes within the Nation’s general transportation systems. As a SAC, the incumbent provides senior level leadership to a significant and predominately Federal Air Marshal (FAM) workforce, overseeing the overall planning, direction, and coordination of operations for an OLE/FAMS field office.  The SAC reports directly to the Regional Director, Field Operations Division, who outlines broadly, stated objectives and priorities.
Duties Include:
 •Serving as Supervisory Federal Air Marshal (Field) of the OLE/FAMS, Field Operations Division, Seattle Field Office.
 •Establishing and maintaining liaison with other federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, as well as with the airline industry.
 •Articulating both verbally and in writing the OLE/FAMS assigned Field Office goals and objectives to local, state and federal law enforcement partners, as well as a myriad of transportation security stakeholders.
 •Serves as the point of contact for OLE/FAMS media and promotion activities.
Supervisory duties include: Directing the work of subordinate managers and performing a wide range of managerial duties such as:  planning, communicating vision and objectives; assigning tasks and responsibilities; setting priorities; monitoring and evaluating performance:  coaching and developing employee capabilities; and recommending or approving corrective/disciplinary actions.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
To qualify for the SV-K Pay Band (equivalent to GS-15), you must have one year of specialized experience at the SV-J Pay Band or GS-14 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector.  Specialized experience is defined as experience that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position.  Such experience includes: applying security laws, directives, and regulations to recommend solutions to law enforcement and security issues and problems, managing law enforcement, security, and compliance programs such as training operations and implementation of technology solutions; and assisting in managing budgets, human resources, and material resources in a security-oriented environment.
