Title: Business Services Manager
Location: Orcutt,1125 E Clark Ave, Santa Maria, CA 93455 


Under general direction of the SVP/CLO, the Business Services Manager is responsible for managing the daily activities of the Business Services Department and its assigned employees in order to achieve Credit Union goals.

Some responsibilities are;
Plans, directs, organizes and controls all Business Services Department activities.
Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations as well as internal policies and procedures.
Provides coaching and counseling to department employees to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
Fosters an entrepreneurial environment that allows each employee to achieve sales and service goals.
Manages vendor relationships to effectively address business requirements.
Develops annual budget for department.  Continuously monitors the financial and operational performance of the department and investigates variances to the approved budget.  Regularly reports variances and explanations for variances to the SVP/CLO.
Actively participates in project implementations, including attending project team meetings, managing assigned projects and completing assigned project deliverables.
Spreads financial statements and tax returns and prepares detailed financial projections
Analyzes financial data using specialized commercial credit analysis software.
Communicates as necessary with credit applicants to develop information concerning their business to determine whether loan may be an acceptable risk.

Knowledge and skills required;
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience is required
Possession of five or more years of business banking experience
Possession of two or more years of business loan underwriting experience
SBA loan underwriting experience is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of credit, accounting and financial analysis required
Thorough understanding of applicable laws and regulations required
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required 
Ability to obtain a valid driver’s license and provide proof of insurance, as well as, ability to travel
Ability to be bonded
