Title: Branch Manager
Locations: Orcutt, 1125 E Clark Ave, Santa Maria, CA 93455
Under
general direction of the AVP Member Relations, in conjunction with SVP
Business and Member Relations and VP Branch Operations, the Branch
Manager is responsible for the management, direction of branch sales,
services, and operations by coaching the branch employees’ activities
towards attainment of Credit Union goals and providing maximum member
benefit. The Branch Manager promotes and maintains a positive image of
the Credit Union at all times.
Some responsibilities are;
Works
in tandem with and under the direct supervision of the AVP Member
Relations to ensure branch sales goals are being attained and that
training and development of employees is actively pursued.
Plans,
manages, directs, organizes and coordinates the sales and operational
activities of the assigned branches, including cross selling, member
service, quality, safety and security control.
Actively participates in various community organizations and events to promote the image of the Credit Union.
Regularly
schedules and conducts branch meetings to inform employees of Credit
Union goals, promotions, products, services, and activities and to
encourage participation and open communication.
Responsible for the
assurance of compliance as it relates to all branch operations functions
so that branch audit results are within acceptable boundaries.
Responsible
for ensuring appropriate branch general ledger accounts are kept in
balance on a daily, weekly, monthly basis, and reporting any
deficiencies to the Branch Operations Administrator.
Talks with
employees and members, answers questions, addresses complaints, and
resolves situations while using good judgment and protecting credit
union interests.
Trains, directs, and supervises staff in the area of
CUNA Mutual’s Lender Development Program by ensuring that the Five
Action Steps and the mandatory quoting process of Guaranteed Asset
Protection (GAP), Debt Cancellation, and Mechanical Breakdown Insurance
(MBI) is being followed.
Knowledge and skills required;
Knowledge
of branch operational activities and understanding of loan practices as
would normally be acquired from three (3) or more years of increasingly
responsible experience in a supervisory or managerial position within a
financial institution or other related managerial experience that may
be relevant to or of benefit in a managerial capacity.
Knowledge of
board policies and Credit Union goals, organizational structure,
policies, procedures (including Office Procedure Manual and Employee
Handbook), and practices
Knowledge of Credit Union products, services, programs and promotions
Knowledge of Computer system/software (Episys, word processing, etc.) to effectively perform job
Ability to obtain a valid driver’s license and provide proof of insurance, as well as, ability to travel
Ability to be bonded
