Hello Lucy, would you or anyone in your support group be interested in donating a recipe to our Patriotic themed cookbook? In this email will go into a little more detail about our company and our cookbook concept, plus I have added a few pages of the cookbook for you to see where we are trying to go with it.
So
a little background on what we are trying to do is that myself and my
buddy/ business partner Andre Rush are both Retired Army Chefs and now
Veterans. As veterans we noticed how much the VA likes to push drugs on
our veterans. We both along with my very supportive wife have done study
on how food can be used as medicine as we all have changed the way we
see food to heal our own bodies and minds. So we decided to create our
company the, "Combat Food Medic", in order to teach other Veterans and
hopefully, if this takes off, anyone else who will listen.
We
are working on creating healthy recipes and cooking videos in hopes to
teach others how to use food as medicine called, "The Happy, Healthy
Veteran Cooking Show", but in the meantime I am creating a patriotic
themed cookbook to showcase our patriots from military, veterans, our
police force and first responders through their recipes, pictures, and a
little patriotic bio.
We
are not concerned with the type of recipe you want to donate, it is the
patriotic bio that the cookbook is mostly about. The public needs to
see our patriots in the best light possible so I thought,"why not
through their recipes", this way they see you as a person and not a
uniform.
I
will also add in our own recipes and sections called, "something to
consider", to introduce people to the health benefits of herbs and
ingredients and how to use them in their cooking for better health. We
hope also that this will lesson the effects of ailments and the need for
over medications.
So
that is pretty much it. I hope you will consider to support us with
your own recipe and please pass this message on to anyone else that you
would consider a patriot also.
Thank you for giving me a couple moments of your time and hope you have a great and safe New Year.
Charles Johnson
