learning about mutual funds and retirement plans, or deepening your existing
knowledge?
Client Services Representatives at Capital Group are
strong problem-solvers and possess a genuine desire to help our shareholders
and financial advisors. There is no sales involved in this role and we offer an
extensive 12 week training program to ensure you are ready to respond to our
callers. Our associates are valued and respected for the significant
contributions they make toward the success of our organization.

To be successful in the Client Services Representative
role, you will exercise sound judgment, have exceptional communication skills,
and demonstrate effective and professional service orientation.
Examples of typical responsibilities include:
Receiving inbound calls from shareholders and financial
advisors across the country
Helping callers manage their mutual fund accounts by
completing on-line account transactions, such as investments, redemptions, and
account maintenance
Educating callers on American Funds’ services and broader
industry policies
Researching and resolving customer inquiries in a timely
manner
Providing telephone support to website users
Hiring Criteria
Customer service experience in any industry preferred
An interest in learning about financial services (no
prior industry experience is necessary)
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
The ability to learn and apply considerable amounts of
information
Good organizational and time management skills
Excellent PC/Internet skills
Strong detail orientation
Flexibility to work additional hours as needed
