The Yellow Ribbon Fund is a Bethesda, MD.-based non-profit dedicated to the responsible provision of
non-clinical support to fill gaps for Wounded, Ill, and Injured service members, and their caregivers and
families, throughout recovery and reintegration to their communities.
The Yellow Ribbon Fund (YRF) is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Director, Wellness
Program to organize and conduct comprehensive wellness support services for Wounded, Ill, and Injured
service members, veterans, families, and caregivers. This is a new position that builds off of our existing
programs to expand our mission.
Job Summary:
The Wellness Program Director will have the primary responsibility of organizing and
conducting the Yellow Ribbon Fund Wellness Program to provide comprehensive wellness support
services for Wounded, Ill, and Injured service members, veterans, families and caregivers.
Job Responsibilities:
·Lead the Yellow Ribbon Fund Wellness Program – organize and conduct YRF wellness support
service efforts for Wounded, Ill, and Injured service members, veterans, families, and caregivers
·Facilitate conduct of intake assessments and needs analyses, facilitate referrals for support
services, facilitate provision of wellness support service vouchers
·Conduct direct non-clinical case management/life-coaching/wellness support for selected
constituents
·Conduct monitoring and evaluation of program efficacy
·Provide expert guidance and support to YRF staff in conduct of ongoing support and outreach
efforts to Wounded, Ill, and Injured
·Provide expert guidance and support to YRF Ambassadors – local representatives around the
country who are providing support to Wounded, Ill, and Injured
Job Qualifications:
·Master’s degree in social work or related human services field or a Baccalaureate degree in social
work or related human services field with significant practical experience.
·Practical experience in non-clinical case management, human services coordination, and/or life
coaching
·Experience in program management
·Personal and/or professional experience with military/VA health systems
·Attention to detail; good record-keeping skills
·Strong community outreach skills
·Strong oral and written skills
·Strong interpersonal skills
·Strong teamwork skills
