Salary range for this position is $80,000 – $95,000 USD depending on experience and qualifications. The salary will be paid in UAE Dirham. In addition to a competitive salary, the compensation package includes a very generous employer paid benefits package. This package includes standard medical / dental benefits, retirement plan matching contributions, a moving/relocation allowance (to and from home country) or furniture allowance, an annual housing allowance and annual tuition / school allowance for up to four dependent children.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Under the direction of the Project Manager/Assistant PM, the Travel Manager will arrange travel and housing for employees and their families, including movement of household goods and vehicles in support of an overseas contract. The Travel Manager will provide onsite direction in Abu Dhabi. The contract base period is two years, with two one-year extensions possible.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
The Travel Manager will possess the skills and ability to coordinate and manage travel for a large group of employees; book and cancel international trips for employees as needed, sometimes on short notice; receive calls and answer questions from employees or family members related to travel; assist in locating housing and/or transportation for employees and families; assist in coordination of travel involving visas and passports; be a resource for employees by developing an understanding of host nation market regarding housing, transportation, schools and recreation; maintain travel records for employees and their families and assist in repatriation of employees, their families and household goods during personal transition or upon contract termination. Possess three years’ experience as a travel agent and a High School Diploma or equivalent.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
The preferred candidate will possess strong geographical knowledge; experience in international corporate travel and leisure; experience in overseas destinations and an AAS degree in travel and tourism.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates will have knowledge with travel systems such as MERCATOR, AMADEUS or SABRE; knowledge in the use of a variety of computer software applications, especially Windows and Microsoft Office Suite; the ability to communicate clearly and effectively over the telephone and in person; must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time, and move about the facility; the ability to interact with others in a business environment; the ability to work independently and the ability to adapt to working conditions in foreign/host nations.
