Planate Management Group LLC is seeking Telecommunication Engineers (Level III) with at least 10 years experience in the global communication industry.
Work will be to provide technical expertise and engineering advisory services specific to the cellular communication domain in support of the development, fielding, and integration of Expeditionary Communications Services. These cellular communications services will facilitate reliable cell phone access, through equipment interface, with Afghan cellular companies.
Job location: Kabul, Afghanistan
Requirements:
Over 10 years experience in the global communication industry;
Possess at least a bachelor’s but preferably a master’s degree, in engineering, math or physics;
Possess excellent written, oral, and personal skills to liaise effectively with senior Government leaders;
Possess a general understanding of acquisition with some program management experience;
Possess the ability to manage multiple priorities, build consensus from competing views, and work as part of a small team within tight deadlines;
Be willing and able to and work daily with TF-41 forces in austere conditions across Afghanistan, function effectively and efficiently in a combat zone during extended periods of high pressure and stress, and operate outside the military secure zones;
Possess knowledge, proficiency, and/or working experience in the following:
GSM/GPRS/WCDMA/UMTS
Microwave communications technologies
Fiber optics (land and undersea systems)
Satellite communications/teleport operations
CLEC
Be a U.S. Citizen with a current Secret DoD Security Clearance.
